Where Profilingis Particularly Effective
 | Identifying and documenting intermittent or occasional noise sources
|
 | Documenting exposure risk for highly mobile workers or jobs where there is no typical day
|
 | Developing exposure scenarios through a library of noise sources
|
Notes:

Sound exposure profiling is useful for modeling risk for workers with irregular tasks or job responsibilities such as maintenance and construction workers or for workers whose noise exposure conditions vary. The procedure is also useful in identifying intermittent or occasional noise sources.
Exposure risk can be modeled for combinations of equipment and activities to portray different work scenarios.
Proposed noise control measures can also be modeled to estimate their effect on exposure. For example if a control with a known reduction capability is applied to a specific task, its effect on overall exposure can be computed.
