Sound Exposure Profile
Notes:

Measurement information collected for each task include
 | Average sound level
 | Maximum sound level
 | Peak sound pressure level
 | Measurement location (typically machine number or other landmark)
 | Predominant noise source
 | Measurement conditions are reported with detail to permit the conditions to be re-created and the measurement to be repeated.
Measurement duration is also recorded and the minimum sound level is logged (used primarily as validation measure)
After tasks have been identified, timed and measured, the profile's time-weighted average sound level may be calculated.
This graphic shows the details of the example job with the eight-hour time weighted average sound exposure level calculated using the C/T procedure. The contribution of each task to total exposure is computed as percent of permissible dose per task.
The exposure calculation is used as the noise exposure risk assessment to represent the job function group for purposes of inclusion in or exclusion from the hearing conservation program.
