The footnote in Table G-16 says that when the daily noise exposure is composed of two or more periods of noise of different levels, their combined effect should be considered rather that the individual effect of each. ANSI Standard S12.19 affirms that this concept applies not only to exposures from movement throughout different areas. This concept applies equally to the performance of tasks on the job.
