James, Anderson & Associates, Inc.

JAA was a leading worldwide provider of noise control, sound exposure monitoring, and hearing loss prevention services for industry. Offices were located in Lansing and Detroit, Michigan, and El Paso, Texas enabling JAA to provide industrial clients with technical, consulting, and management services to aid in management of exposure to hazardous noise.

The Noise Monitor

JAA published a newsletter on hearing conservation and noise related issues periodically.

What's Hearing Loss Prevention?

Hearing conservation as it has been practiced in industry has not effectively prevented hearing loss in workers. Hearing Loss Prevention, or HLP, is a term coined by NIOSH to clearly indicate that the old ways have not worked, and new ideas are necessary to prevent hearing loss.

HeLP GuidesSM Aid Communication

Communication is the key to effective hearing loss prevention. JAA developed HeLP Guide's to foster effective communication of risk of hazardous noise exposure to workers.
